The Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is situated in the Downtown Miami district and was founded over 100 years ago, just before the actual official formation of Miami city. Originally no more than a small wooden structure, this is one of the most important and historic churches in Miami. The Trinity Episcopal Cathedral was soon rebuilt in 1912 and is now a large and impressive stone structure, with two floors. After further renovation and reconstruction in 1925, the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral gained a more Romanesque appearance and is now on the National Register of Historic Places in Miami.
